4014 Comes to Town

The mighty 4014, one of the old articulated steam engines is being resurrected after being on display in the Pomona Fairgrounds in Los Angeles, CA for the past 52 years.  The UP has undertaken the task and towed it to Cheyenne, Wyoming for restoration. On May 6, 2014, it stopped in Green River and Rock Springs on its way to its restoration.   The hope is that it will be restored in 2019 in time for the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railway.  My hope is to get to ride a train pulled by it just like I did the 844.
