State Tourney

The Sandpuppy B State Tourney was held in Rock Springs.  Unfortunately the Sandpuppies only made it to Day 3, but they hosted an awesome tournament.

Legion Ball 2017

This year, I actually got to see a lot of games.  Jamie and I were texting back and forth about the baseball games and she said, “you have to take 40,000,000 pictures of baseball.”  I said “I think I’m about 12 away from that right now”, she said “I think you’re about 12 over”.  That was before the state championships.

Here are some photos of the games I got to attend this year.

Zak Graduates

On June 17, 2017, Zak graduated high school.  This proud grandma promises she didn’t cry at all (at least not until the processional started).  Parker had one of my cameras, Myah had my cell phone, Brooks had the video camera.  We kept a good record of it.

This is the graduation

This is the party afterwards, where I was lucky enough to get a 5 generation photo.

Neighborhood Shots

This is a post that will be constantly updating as the year goes on.

This spring, we had a gorgeous supermoon and someone tipped one of the fake cows.

Brooks Award

Brooks’ parents will attend the opening of a door if it involves their children.  Therefore, by some unbelievable stroke of amazing fate, they were both unable to attend Brooks’ back to school night and her awards program.  Guess what!  Grandpa and I got to go to both.  I got video of her looking for me and finding my face in the crowd.  That made the whole thing so wonderful.  Oh, and her getting the “Exceeds Schoolwide Expectations” award was of course a huge bonus.

River Spring 2017

As soon as we got a bit of thaw, we took to dog down to the river.  There were still large ice floes in April and May.  The water was past flood stage.  At one time, she got stuck in trees that weren’t normally in the river, so we moved our normal spot to a different place for her safety.

Vernal April 2017

We knew the day was coming, but we were all surprised at how fast the nursing home found a room for Dave’s Mom and Dad.  On April 22, we went down to help clean out the old homestead and see mom and dad in their new “home”.

Zak & Cece Prom

April 1, 2017 Zak took Cece to prom.  Jamie bought the dress and the jewelry for Cece.  She looked stunning!

844 Comes to Town

On March, my beloved 844 came through town then back through town.    I got a blowby in Rock Springs and got it blowing steam when it left Green River on the way back a few days later.  Yes, it was worth standing in the freezing rain to do it.

Neighborhood Early 2017

It was a brutal winter with record snowfalls.  Schools closed for the first time in over 20 years.  Every time we’d get close to finding the road, we would get dumped on again.  The dog loved it.
