Ok, I’ll be honest. I had no idea what was going on when I came home and there were thousands of black birds in all the trees kicking up a racket. I live in Wyoming. We don’t have thousands of birds hanging out anywhere. Even pigeons only come by the dozens.
Believing I had walked into a Hitchcock movie, I shot (photos) first and asked questions (of “uncle google” afterwards. I saw my first (and probably) only starling murmuration. It usually doesn’t occur in Wyoming. P.S. The mourning dove watching from our neighbor’s rooftop was not impressed.
